August 15, 1947 is a remarkable day in Indian history. This is the day when we won our freedom from the British ending more than 200 years of foreign rule. While most people in the country are aware of the above facts, very few know why August 15 was chosen as the date for declaration of independence. We bring you the story behind it. ୧୯୪୭ ମସିହା ଅଗଷ୍ଟ ୧୫ ତାରିଖ। ଏହି ତାରିଖ ଇତିହାସ ପୃଷ୍ଠାର ସ୍ୱର୍ଣ୍ଣିମ ଅକ୍ଷରରେ ଲିପିବଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇରହିଛି। ଏହିଦିନ ହିଁ ସବୁ ଭାରତୀୟଙ୍କ ପାଦରୁ ଯେମିତି ଖୋଲିଯାଇଥିଲା ପରାଧୀନତାର ବେଡ଼ି। ତେବେ କେବେ ଭାବିଛନ୍ତି ୧୯୪୭ ମସିହାରେ ମିଳିଥିବା ଏହି ସ୍ବାଧୀନତା ପାଇଁ କାହିଁକି ଅଗଷ୍ଟ ୧୫ ତାରିଖକୁ ହିଁ ବଛାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଏହା ପଛରେ ଥିବା କାହାଣୀକୁ ଚାଲନ୍ତୁ ଜାଣିବା ଏହି ଭିଡ଼ିଓରୁ।
