The process to remove structures within 75 metre of “Meghnad Pacheri” of Jagannath Temple in Puri started Monday. Toilets, shops, government and private buildings are to be pulled down to ensure safety and security to pilgrims after a proposal to this effect was approved at a meeting of the Cabinet presided by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
ପୁରୀ ଶ୍ରୀମନ୍ଦିରର ମେଘନାଦ ପାଚେରି ଚତୁଃପାର୍ଶ୍ୱରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି ଉଚ୍ଛେଦ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ । ମେଘନାଦ ପାଚେରୀକୁ ଲାଗି ରହିଥିବା ସୌଚାଳୟ, ସରକାରୀ ଓ ଘରୋଇ କୋଠା ଏବଂ ବେଆଇନ ଦୋକାନ ଗୃହଗୁଡିକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗିବା ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି । ଏହି ଉଚ୍ଛେଦ ପାଇଁ କଡ଼ା ସୁରକ୍ଷା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରାଯାଇଛି।
