Usage of single-use polythene has a negative impact on the environment. It chokes our oceans, clogs flow of water and affects plant growth. In view of these, the state government has issued a directive to enforce plastic ban in the urban areas of the state beginning this Gandhi Jayanti. Dharitri Live did a ground study on how it is being enforced and what are the alternatives being used.
