DGP's ignorance will ruin Orissa Police

Dear sir
These days Orissa Police is on expansion at grass root level. That is a welcome step taken by Sh. Gopal Nanda, DGP, Orissa. Hundreds of Inspectors are to be upgraded to DSP and SIs to Inspectors and so on. Thousands of Constables are also to be recruited but nobody is paying any heed to the technical staff like Wireless, Forensic Sciences, Finger Print, Handwriting staff and Photography staff. Persons working for more than 25years have been working in the same rank without any promotion which not only undermines the zeal and sincerity but also creating a frustration leading to anger in the department. For example one Scientific Ofiicer(SO) appointed as SO 25years back has been in the same rank where as one inspector of general line who was once junior to him is now DSP and senior to him. This is sheer humiliation to the technical staff. This shows the DGP is completely unaware of modern technologies that greatly help in the job of Police. His ignorance
will ruin Orissa Police.
