I just recalled how these Tamil people are!
Dear Sir
: I always love to read the article through internet "kholabichar"
written by my esteemed Oriya writer and journalist Mr Barendra Krushna
Dhal. Convey my best regards to him.His article on restoration of oriya
bhasha and sahitya has immensely touched my heart. I am now serving in
Nagaland and have remembered an event some 14 years back while I was in
Orissa, serving there. An Executive Engineer of Tamilnadu PWD Dept came
to Orissa for a training programme at Bhubaneswar. I happened to be his
colleague there. He the next day handed me over a letter and requested
me to post it at a nearby Post Office. When I saw the address on the
cover (Inland letter), it was all in Tamil language. But interestingly,
the last word written at the bottom line was Tamilnadu State with PIN
Code of course. I remember, I laughed at myself then when I understood
his love for Tamil language. Today, when I wet through the writings of
Barendra Sir, I just recalled how these Tamil people are! Before
dropping that letter in the letter box, I had told to my other friends
in Orissa about this.
