Dear Sir, The editorial in our esteemed daily headlined 'Orissa
ku Mado' (17.11.09)has been informative and enlightening.You have always
been publishing such editorials from time to time.It will be a travesty
of truth to reckon our state as a developed state basing on few steel
plants ! Statistics published by the Govt's own machinery and other
leading journals in the country rank Orissa as the poorest state even
below Bihar.However I am also told that our state is very sluggish in
spending loans and grant-in-aids received from different agencies
including the Govt.of India due to an indifferent and docile beauracracy
managing such affairs.Perhaps this could be one of the reasons for
denying our state the benefits of large aids from the Govt and
international agencies.
