Dear Sri Das
Dharitri does NOT support such superficial name changes. We were happy
when the stall at Delhi had Orissa instead of Odisha, We did not
'comment' negatively. In reality, even we Oriyas do not pronounce that
word with a strong 'd' that it should be written as odia. Similarly,
Soochana Bhavan was thought of and constructed by the then Chief
Minister late Ms Nandini Satpathy. Those who changed its name to Jaydev
Bhavan did not even put a single new brick on that edifice. Bhubaneswar
is a growing city and is getting bigger every day. We believe the city
needs a few more halls for social activities. These jokers could have
built something new and named it after any one that captured their
fancy. Dharitri believes in building a new Orissa. Not in changing names
and trying to take credit.
