Are we ashamed to talk in Oriya?

Dear Editor
We should not forget by any chance that we are ORIYA and we should feel proud of it.Last year when I was coming from Bangalore in train,I had a co-passenger who was talking in Telugu and some times in HINDI.When we both got introduced with each other I told him that I am an Oriya and we talked on different matters as formal. But still he was talking to me in hindi and never told me from where he belongs to.When the train crossed the border and entered into Berhampur, surprisingly he started talking in oriya and got down at Berhampur and said that he was also an oriya which shocked me a lot.Just imagine what would happen to those sons of orissa who fought till there death to save the oriya language!!!!!!! Also u know one thing bengalis and south indians are so much dedicated to there culture and language that they even talk in their local language where they should talk in english or hindi. For example I work in a MNC where it is mandatory to talk in English but still the Bengalis used talk in there local language even if in meetings. So the time has come my oriya brothers and sisters please wake up and try to save our language..... Vande Utkala Janani.......
